Hi there! The name's  Charlene Ingram, your friend from the Internet! You can call me Char. I'm the Director of Animation Marketing at North America's largest distributor of manga, anime and pop-culture goodness, VIZ Media. On a quest to spread the magic of anime and Japanese entertainment, my weapons of choice are analytics, tenacity, experience, a third eye for spotting trends and a diamond-tough love for the content & its fans. You may have seen me speaking on stage at pop-culture conventions nationwide, on loads of Youtube and Blu-ray extra feature videos, or perhaps (if you have an eagle-eye), even in cosplay.

 

I've been a member of the Anime industry for nearly ten years having worked previously at Funimation as Senior Brand Manager and a founder of North Amerca's first cosplayer-focused wig and accessories company. My philosophy is to be a ray of sparkling-dazzling positivity, to work hard, lead by example, go big, and never ever stop dreaming. The world of entertainment makes lives more wonderful, so think of me as a shimmery fairy godmother.
